The Friends of Borgess Nursing is an endowment fund established in 2006 to honor and remember Borgess nurses. Proceeds from the annual Friends of Borgess Nursing dinner have enhanced the endowment fund which supports education and training for Borgess nurses.
The dinner will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Cityscape Events Center, 125 S. Kalamazoo Mall in downtown Kalamazoo (click for map).
Light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the awards program beginning at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person, and tables of ten are available for $750. Your ticket to the event will include two drink tickets, hors d’oeuvres, choice of entrée with salad and dessert (described below) in addition to the program and ability to participate in the silent auction.
All proceeds benefit the Borgess Nursing Endowment Fund. Letters will be sent to acknowledge the ticket purchaser. A portion of each ticket sale is tax deductible.

Menu will include your choice from the following entrees:
Beef/Salmon entree: Choice center cut “Manhattan” grilled steak prepared to medium rare, topped with a wild mushroom & peppercorn demi-glaze. Accompanied with a basil encrusted pan seared salmon, drizzled in a lemon aioli sauce. Green beans sautéed with shallots and tomatoes and Potato Gratin.
Vegetarian entree: Grilled vegetable & goat’s cheese Wellington - marinated grilled zucchini, squash, bell pepper, red onion and Portobello rolled in savory puff pastry with goats cheese, served with a classic tomato basil sauce.
