The Friends of Borgess Nursing is an endowment fund established in 2006 to honor and remember Borgess nurses. Proceeds from the annual Friends of Borgess Nursing dinner have enhanced the endowment fund which supports education and training for Borgess nurses. Through sponsorship, silent auction proceeds and ticket sales, the FOBN Committee has raised more than $78,774. The endowment goal is $250,000.

The 2009 dinner and silent auction took place on Tuesday, May 12 at the Cityscape Events Center, 125 S. Kalamazoo Mall in downtown Kalamazoo. Seventeen award recipients were honored during the dinner event.
